Try to learn how to restore your system to previous state when some error occurs in your system u can use Norton ghost,Genie backup etc programs for that.It will be very useful for experimenting in the internet world.

use download.com etc sites for downloading trial versions of programs

There are various browsers other than Internet Explorer like firefox,opera try it and there is a newer version of internet explorer 7.These versions give tabbed browsing(i.e many pages under one window).Links for firefox are available in side of the page click on the icon and download it

Download the trial versions of antivirus,firewalls,spyware,adware.Before installing any of these programs check wheather it is compatible or not with your version of softwares.

These antivirus, firewalls etc programs will make your system shutdown and restart very slower so after installing these software in the start-->Run and type "msconfig" it will show a window in that select "selective startup in startup tab" and in that checkmark the items u want to start every time you start your system.It won't affect your system in any means and whenever you need those programs click and use it

If a search result does not provide what u wanted try it with other search engines
